Hi, Very nice bike! I am over on the west coast of the US and I am planning on building one of these 450 monos. Since you have built and ridden/raced one of these I was wondering if I could pick your brain on a couple of things.
What size rotor did you use on the front? What kind of pads, lines, master cylinder did you use?
What size tires did you use? Compared to some of the 450 motos over here, your rear tire seems narrower and I wonder if it's necessary to have a wide tire.
think 300mm rotor on front, full race pads from brembo in early mono block superbike caliper, cagiva master cylinder, tyres are 125 gp race tyres, 115/17 rear 80/90x 17 front. Wide tyres not at all needed
Now obviously all this hard work is in the end going to be a racing machine and I will be doing my hardest to be competitive but like all racers sponsorship can be the difference between making the grid or crying in the paddock. So if anyone is keen to see this bike and me go as far as possible and have enough interest to help a racer please contact me asap as there is another season after this one and preperation and planning is key.
Keen not to let my youth slip away, I have been racing in the British Supermono Cahmpionship for two years, getting better but not achieving as much as I would like. Yet!
